Marbles/Glass : This is a gallery to showcase the shots I do with marbles (which I've totally fallen in love with lately), but also the creative shots I plan to do with glass objects. Today (Mar.02,'06) I went downtown to visit the Springfield Art Glass Studio where Terry Bloodworth performs his magic with blown glass, and I was mesmerized! Check it out sometime if you get the chance.

Tornado - Mar.12,'06 : I spent most of the day on Mar.17,'06 traveling to some of the locations where the tornado hit on Sunday night Mar.12,'06. I took pics around Marionville, Billings, Clever and just north of Nixa. The devastation was incredible. These pics were taken roughly 5 days after the tornado and consequently there had been, I'm sure, quite a bit of cleanup. So what you're seeing, even though it's shocking and horrible, was worse the day after it happened.

When I close my eyes, I can still see the insulation on the fence line and the bulldozers piling up a lifetime of memories. I took these shots so hopefully we will respect the weather a little more when the sirens sound around us...............

Right now I don't plan on doing any captions to the pictures. I thought of trying to specifically chronicle where each one was located, but have since reconsidered. I'm at somewhat of a loss to even put to words my own feelings about what I saw, let alone try to be clever or witty with my captions. My heart and spirit still ache with the pain of what I saw. It really makes you appreciate and be thankful for what you have and ignore trivial things that might've agitated you. In light of this tragedy, we all have it pretty good, no matter what we're going through.

Daily Creative Zone (Feb.7 - Aug.15, '06) : Something new every day. I try to come up with at least one new shot each day, but most days it'll be several. Your feedback is always appreciated. I take the negative comments and use them to fuel my creativity and I take the positive comments and use them as a mental pick-me-up. :-)) So either way, I'd love to hear from you about the pics I post each day. I hope you find something that you either like or inspires you or brings a smile to your face.
